Aim of the course

For senior / strategic leaders and managers seeking to sharpen their strategic leadership capability, enabling them to deliver successful outcomes for their organisation. It is suitable for leaders who want to make the best use of resources, develop commercially viable propositions, innovate, optimise performance and drive impact.

This course is designed to be taken over 2 months, but if you wish to work through at a quicker pace that is no problem. There will be two 1-day tutor-led online classroom sessions. Any further required tutor support can be negotiated separately.

Unit 1: Strategic Leadership Development

Unit 2: Developing Personal Effectiveness and Impact

1. Be able to appraise your communication skills and their use within your role
2. Be able to assess your skills in critical thinking and its relevance to problem solving
3. Compare and contrast creative thinking tools/techniques or models applicable at management level.
4. Understand and evaluate models of continuous development and their importance
5. Analyse the characteristics of a self-aware leader and how they apply to your behaviours
6. Understand and evaluate models/theories of behaviours which support impression management
