If you’re creative, imaginative, and innovative, and you love the idea of transforming empty or lifeless rooms into stunning and fully functional masterpieces, then this highly lucrative and flexible profession is ideal.

You’ll take a close look interior design and its fascinating history; including famous designers of the past whose styles and ideas are still influential today. You’ll discover how to recreate a huge variety of design styles, and how to plan an entire project from scratch. You’ll study the seven essential elements of interior design, along with physical features such as architecture, fabrics, and lighting. Best of all, you’ll discover how to make a living as an interior designer, including how to conduct market research, set up your own business, and manage projects independently. And, as you study in your own time, at your own pace, you’ll enjoy unlimited tutor support.

Study Hours

  • The learning hours for this course are up to 125 hours, which is around 40 minutes per day for 6 months.

Course Duration

  • On average, students complete this course in 7 months, but we'll give you up to 12 months. Don’t worry if you go over the year though, we can organise an extension to your course for an additional fee, which also extends your tutor support.


Assessment

  • Each unit is followed by a written tutor-marked assignment (TMA), which is submitted and then marked by your tutor. You will not be required to take an external exam.

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered.
