Description
Our IOSH Asbestos awareness course is designed for workers across multiple sectors and industries to give them an understanding of what asbestos is, its history, where it might be found, the effects of asbestos exposure on health, and what measures should normally be put into place in the workplace to reduce the chances of asbestos exposure.
The course is designed to meet the requirements of Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, for awareness training.
The course covers:
- What is asbestos
- Where asbestos might be found in the workplace and what it looks like
- Managing Asbestos in the Workplace
The course will take around 4 hours to complete, excluding the assessments.
You can manage your own time and progress as quickly or slowly as you want or need to, depending on your personal circumstances.
We strongly recommend you complete the course within three months. Although you have 12 months of course access as standard.
