This online course provides an introduction to building management systems (BMS). On this course, you will gain an understanding of the role and typical components of a BMS, the fundamentals of control theory, data gathering systems, and how a BMS can be used to optimise building performance. You can also carry out a feasibility study into which type of BMS to install in your organisation.

Qualification:
Successful completion of this course results in the EI Level 2 Certificate in Building Management Systems (BMS).
This course also forms one of the modules of the EI's longer Level 2: Energy Management Professional course and qualification.
Assessment:
This course is assessed via a short online test following the course.
Who should take this course:
This course is recommended for those with 1-2 years' experience in energy management. Although there are no official prerequisites, it is recommended that you have at least A level maths or equivalent.

Do you get a certification at the end this corse or a qualification or is it just cpd points
Answer:Hi Jason, Thanks for your enquiry. The Building Management Systems Module is just one Module of the full Level 2 course, "Energy Management Professional." I can confirm however that you will still receive a certificate for completing this Module. Regarding CPD, I would encourage you to think about CPD in terms of what you have learned and how this is useful to you, rather than in terms of an arbitrary number of points. I hope that helps.
