What the learner will study

Learners will study at least 46 credits of course content, in different courses, each course with its own completion certificate, including:

Course 16 - Introductory awareness of sensory loss

Progression to Ofqual-Recognised Qualification, Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF)

The content of the various learning resources provided to the learner also enable the learner to gain updated knowledge on the latest Acts of Parliament, government guidelines and Codes of Practice, including:

• Care Act (2014) with subsequent amendments, and implications for
• CQC Fundamental Standards 2015
• Duty of Candour requirements
• Understanding principles of independent advocacy
• Understanding Audit Processes, including the updated Caldicott Report (2015)
• The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
• National Occupational Standards for benchmarking and updating CPD
• Implementing the requirements for Care and Support Plans
• Practical implications of the balance between risk assessment, risk-taking and rights and responsibilities

• Level 2 Diploma in Care (RQF) - already working in care
• Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to work in Adult Social Care (RQF) - career changers from related areas such as child care who are aspiring to work in any adult care setting
• Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (RQF) - Senior Care Assistants, Personal Assistants
• Level 3 Diploma in Team Leading and Supervision (RQF) - for team leaders, supervisors, and aspiring managers
