The New Entrants Domestic Electrical Installer (NEDEI) training programme (Foundation & Advanced) is for candidates who are looking to start a career as a domestic electrical installer but do not yet have the skills and knowledge to join an electrical competent person scheme (CPS).
The Foundation Course is an ideal starting point for a career as a domestic electrical installer, covering all the core competencies required to install and maintain electrics in residential properties.
It forms the underpinning knowledge and practical skills for you to progress to the Advanced Course recognised and accepted under the EAS scheme for entry to a Competent Person Scheme covering Part P of the Building Regulations as a Qualifying Supervisor (QS) for Dwellings.
The Foundation Course is also for Installers whose primary role is not electrical but may involve elements of wiring or electrical installation.
