This is a City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting Occupations (Construction)

This NVQ will be assessed on site whilst you are working, that way you do not have to take time out of work and lose money

This Level 2 NVQ is designed to assess occupational competence in the workplace. Learners are required to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and experience in the construction site for the chosen path.

This course is ideal for operatives who are working in the construction industry as a Painter and Decorator, with experience and would like to earn while they gain a qualification. The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence demonstrated by an individual in the workplace. This Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting Occupations (Construction) provides the opportunity for individuals who specialise in painting and decorating to demonstrate their competence. The course provides a specialist work related programme of training covering key knowledge and practical skills required within the sector.

The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting Occupations (Construction) is designed for anyone who is working as a Painter & Decorator. It provides all the basic training you need to progress your work in the industry and give you a recognised qualification.

The awarding organisation for this qualification is City & Guilds Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

This qualification has been accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

The duration of an NVQ Assessment will be agreed during your Initial assessment & Induction.

We will visit you on site to observe you and gain to evidence required, a portfolio of evidence will be collected.

However, we would expect your NVQ qualification to be complete within 3 to 6 months.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
However, the potential learner must be able to demonstrate that they can meet the skills, knowledge and experience requirements of the NVQ.

Once you achieved this qualification you can progress to a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting Occupations (Construction) or Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision if you are supervising others

You will also be able to apply for a blue CSCS card once completed
