Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training (RQF)

The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training is a recognised qualification which is designed for those working or wishing to work as teachers within an educational setting. Learners will also carry out research into professionalism in education and training and consider their impact on their role as a fully qualified teacher.

The qualification will be assessed through a combination of written essays, a portfolio of teaching evidence and observation of teaching or training. All units, assignments and learning materials for the course can be accessed through our online learning platform. Students have 12 months access to the online learning platform where they may study entirely at their own pace. Furthermore, learners will be observed for a total of 8 sessions (minimum 1 hour) during the course to assess the practical elements of the qualification. The sessions can be done on any topic, preferably the subject that the student specialises in.

All learners must have access to 100 hours of teaching and must be in-service/ delivering sessions voluntarily.
