Description
Our Intermediate Training is designed to help participants enhance their Excel skills beyond the basic level. Throughout the course, you will explore the following topics:
- Use advanced formulas and functions to manipulate data and perform calculations more efficiently.
- Define names for individual cells and ranges, and work with database tools in Excel to sort, filter, and customise data.
- Protect cells and link workbooks and applications (Excel with Word or PowerPoint).
- Format large spreadsheets effectively by hiding columns, grouping columns and rows, and applying conditional number formatting.
Throughout the course, participants will cover a range of topics including:
- Functions: IF functions, VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP, functions to combine data from multiple cells, data functions, and nested functions.
- Tools: Naming cells and ranges, protecting cells, linking workbooks, and linking applications (Excel with Word or PowerPoint).
- Database tools: Sorting data in ascending, descending, left to right, and in custom sequences, filtering data with AutoFilter, creating customised and advanced filters, using data forms to enter, delete and search for data, and using subtotals to calculate subsets of data.
- Formatting: Hiding columns, rows and formulas, grouping columns and rows, and applying conditional number formatting.
Upon completion, participants will have a strong foundation in Excel Intermediate skills and be able to apply them to their work.

Requirements
This course is designed for participants who have completed the Excel Level 1 course or have equivalent knowledge.
