Want to learn about men's mental health?
Our Awareness of Mental Health Problems Men’s free online course will introduce you to a wide range of different mental health problems affecting men. Within the UK, three times as many men as women die by suicide. This course will give you an understanding of the different mental health problems such as learning about stress, depression, anxiety and PTSD. You will learn the signs, symptoms, and triggers of poor mental health that have an impact on men. Please note, upon completion of this course you will receive a certificate for the Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems. If you already hold this certificate, you won’t be eligible for this course.
Did you know, in England and Wales, 75% of suicides are males with the highest men’s suicide rate being between the ages of 40 to 49. The number of men who have suicidal thoughts has doubled since 2009. Although men are now more likely to see a therapist if they’re feeling worried or low, there’s still a long way to go to ensure that men are supported with their mental health. By completing this course you can support those around you by showing an understanding and empathy for those struggling at this time in their life.

You must live in one of the following counties to receive funding for the course from the Department of Education.
The objective of this qualification is to develop the learner's understanding of a range of mental health problems, which could be used to support their role in the workplace, or where they may work or interact with individuals with mental health problems.
