Overview

The Distance Learning Nutrition for Young Children course will help you gain a detailed understanding of what constitutes a balanced diet when caring for young children, starting from pregnancy, right up to the age of five. You will evaluate diets for balance and promote healthier food choices, whilst having an awareness of the issues that make healthy eating quite difficult for young children and their parents.

For the Nutrition for Young Children Level 3 course you will cover the following content:-

Unit 1: Principles of a balanced diet

Unit 2: Prenatal and infant feeding

Unit 3: Nutrition for pre-school children

Unit 4: Nutrition for school aged children (5-18 years)

Unit 5: Nutrition for food hypersensitivity in children

Unit 6: Childhood obesity

You must successfully complete a series of assignments. Once all assignments and activities have been completed satisfactorily, you will then be awarded your certificate. The good news is, there is no final exam.

At the end of this course successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the components the learner has completed as part of the course).
