Description
The course will renew and refresh your knowledge and understanding of food safety. Attending this course will re-examine the vital roles of management in establishing and maintaining high standards within a catering organisation.
The Food Safety Act 1990 states that those responsible for managing your food safety management procedures must be appropriately qualified. If you are required to train others in food safety, you should process the necessary training skills and qualifications too.
In other words, managers and supervisors should receive a more advanced level of training. The training should highlight their specific responsibilities associated with supervising and managing a safe food operation.
You should understand what principles of effective food safety procedures are and how to incorporate them into daily working practices. You should understand what the key processes are and how you can implement them into the business.
By attending this course, you will revisit the importance of identifying, preventing and controlling potential food safety hazards. You will gain the knowledge and skills to be able to take the appropriate corrective action when necessary.
On returning to work, your refreshed skills will enable you to develop, implement and manage an effective food safety system.
In addition, your renewed confidence will allow you to continue to take responsibility for your food handlers. You will feel energised to continue to educate and motivate them in their duties and responsibilities.
