Safeguarding Children & Young Adults For Ancillary Workers/Domestic Staff, Level 1 (POCA 1)This course aims to provide you with some of the basic knowledge and skills necessary to understand key issues related to ‘safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people’.
This involves understanding key safeguarding definitions and types of abuse, basic legislation, professional responsibilities towards children; knowing how to react and prevent child abuse; handle information about a child and their guardian; working with other professionals and record keeping.
