On completion of the course, students will gain the knowledge needed to effectively manage a remote team and build skills in order to confidently and successfully lead a remote team.

We will cover the evolution of remote work, the benefits and challenges of remote working and you will learn about the managers role in remote team success. We will cover key remote work technologies and tools.

You will learn about the importance of building trust and communication, setting clear expectations and goals. We will cover managing a remote team and promoting collaboration and team bonding.

Other areas you will cover include supporting employee wellbeing in remote work, recognizing and addressing burnout. you will learn about promoting work-life balance, mental health awareness and resources.

We will cover remote work policies and guideline, time management and productivity techniques. You will also learn about effective meeting and communication strategies ,cybersecurity and data protection.

In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.

You will earn 3 CPD points on completion of the course, this course will take around 3 hours to complete and the certificate will last for two years.

Units Covered

  • Unit 1 – Remote Work Training for Managers - In the first unit we will cover the evolution of remote work and its challenges and and benefits. We will explore the managers role in remote team success and learn about key work technologies and tools.
  • Unit 2 – Effective Remote Team management - In this unit you will learn about promoting collaboration and team bonding, building trust and communication. We will cover managing remote team performance and setting clear goals and expectations.
  • Unit 3 – Remote Leadership and Employee Wellbeing - In the third unit we will cover supporting employee wellbeing in remote work and recognizing and addressing burnout. You will also learn about promoting work-life balance and the importance of mental health awareness and resources.
  • Unit 4 – Introduction - Tools and Strategies for Remote Success - In the final unit we will cover effective meeting and communication strategies, time management and productivity techniques. You will explore remote work policies, cybersecurity and data protection.

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at people looking to increase their knowledge on why remote working has increased in popularity in recent years, and especially for managers looking at implementing it as an option in their own place of work.

Requirements

You are required to complete a 30 question multiple choice quiz at the end of the course. Where you need to achieve at least 80% or above to pass. You can complete the quiz as many times as you need to pass.
