Description

There are many positives of resilience, the ability to bounce back from stress or adversity is important throughout life. Coping with life’s stress in a positive way is known as resilience.

Resilience is not a trait that people either have or don’t have. It involves behaviours, thoughts and actions that can be learned and developed in anyone as long as they have the right knowledge and tools, and are willing to put in some time and commitment.

You will explore what resilience toolkits are and case studies on building your resilience in your personal life and in your work life.

In order to complete the course, you must achieve 80% or more in the final multiple choice quiz.

You will earn 3 CPD points on completion of the course, this course will take around 3 hours to complete and the certificate will last for two years.

  • Fully CPD registered
  • Completed online with instant downloadable certificate
  • Fully printed certificate posted next day
  • Complete the online multiple choice assessment as many times as you need to pass
  • Unit 1 – An introduction to resilience – In the first unit of the course, you will examine what resilience is, the positives of resilience, why organisational resilience is important and the common barriers to resilience. The unit will finish with some examples of resilience.
  • Unit 2 – The pillars of resilience – In this unit you will consider the five pillars of resilience – emotional wellbeing, inner drive, future focus, relationships and physical health. You will explore why each one of these is important and what each one means.
  • Unit 3 – How to build personal resilience – In this unit you will focus on how you can improve your self-awareness, how to identify what is holding you back, tools and techniques to improve your resilience and what a resilience toolkit is. The unit will finish with exploring a case study of someone building their personal resilience.
  • Unit 4 – How to build organisational resilience – In the final unit you will explore resilience in the workplace. You will look at statistics on resilience in the workplace, how employers can help employees build resilience and how to identify what is holding your resilience in the workplace back. FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
