Hi Andy, apologies for the long delay in responding - we have only just seen this. The course is accredited at BTEC Level 4, which is equivalent to A' Level. Each University has their own system for allowing prior learning, but typically they require prior learning to be at the same level as the course you are wishing to take with them. This is a formal qualification and Pearson is the awarding body. I hope this helps. - Sarah

Hi David, The security industry regulates on several areas of security, for example Manned Guarding & CCTV Licencing. For corporate security roles, employers look for OFQAL-regulated education, such as the Security Management BTEC Level 4 that you've enquired about. This covers the key subjects that anyone working in corporate security will need to have a good understanding of. I would also recommend taking a look at the Security Institute, and ASIS UK Chapter.
