Course Description
This Teaching Literacy in Schools Course will provide learners with an insight into working in the challenging field of education in schools, discussing your role as a support staff working with children learning English as part of the core curriculum. Whether working in the field already, or want to know more to get into the industry, this course will cover a range of modules and provide multiple examples for assessment.
The Teaching Literacy in Schools Course is split into the following modules:
- Teaching Reading at Key Stage 1 and 2
- Teaching Writing at Key Stage 1 and 2
- Teaching Spoken Language at Key Stage 1 and 2
- Teaching Reading at Key Stage 3
- Teaching Writing at Key Stage 3
- Teaching Spoken Language at Key Stage 3
- Final test
Assessment
To assess the learners ability and knowledge to effectively understand the topics contained within the SEND Teaching Methods Course, the course features a number of end of module interactive quiz questions.
Additionally, at the end of the course learners will also take an online multiple choice assessment test. This online multiple choice test is marked automatically so you will receive an instant grade and know whether you have passed the course.
Certificate
On successful completion of this SEND Teaching Methods Course learners will receive a CPD Certificate of Achievement award from National Open College.
