Overview
From 31st January 2025, this Refresher Course will become mandatory for all door supervisors wishing to renew their SIA licences. Therefore, is an essential program for individuals holding a current SIA Door Supervisor licence, helping them stay up-to-date with the latest standards and requirements in the private security industry.

Description
Any business selling alcohol, including small pubs, retailers, large nightclubs, cafés, restaurants, hotels and sports facilities may need trained security
staff qualified as door supervisors who hold an SIA licence.
This Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Refresher) course is based on the new relevant SIA specification for learning and qualifications and is supported by Skills for Security, the standards-setting body for the security industry and the SIA, who regulate the private security industry.
Topics covered in this Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry (Refresher) course include:
• terror threats and the role of the security operative in the event of a threat
• use of equipment relevant to a door supervisor
• actions to take in relation to global (or critical) incidents
• physical interventions and the implications of their use
• spiking and protecting vulnerable people
Who is this course for?
This is designed for learners who currently hold a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work as a door supervisor and need to be brought up to date with the new licence-linked qualification requirements.
Requirements
18+ years, valid Emergency First Aid Certificate (mus be valid for at least 12 months)
