Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults For Ancillary Workers/Domestic Staff (SOVA), Level 1This course aims to provide ancillary workers with some of the basic knowledge and skills necessary to understand key issues related to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Vulnerable Adults.
This involves understanding key safeguarding definitions and types of abuse, basic legislation, professional responsibilities towards vulnerable adults; knowing how to react and prevent abuse; record keeping and working with other professionals to promote safeguarding Vulnerable Adults.

This course has been verified by Skills for Health against the UK Core Skills Training Frameworks subject "Safeguarding adults" Level 1.
