1 to 1 Teaching Assistant KS1

Your new company
Hays are working in partnership with a school in the Maghull area who are looking for an experienced KS1 teaching assistant to support a child on a 1 to 1 basis next academic year.
The school is looking for someone with experience of working with children with learning disabilities, behaviour management and confidence with SEN. The school will be looking for people who can commit to working full-time for the academic year.

Your new role
You will be supporting the child in lessons, ensuring they can participate with the work and activities alongside the other children in the class. You will deliver tailored assistance to help the SEN pupil reach their full potential, as well as develop a supportive and secure relationship with the child, promoting respect, inclusivity, and self-esteem. You will implement specific intervention programmes and adapt learning activities to meet the child's unique needs. You will also provide feedback on the pupil's progress to parents and school staff. You will ensure the pupil's wellbeing and any particular care needs are met in line with our school's ethos.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You must be confident in providing effective support and the ability to use materials to target specific learning outcomes.
You must have the full right to work in the UK and be able to work full-time. You will ideally have a TA qualification of at least level 2.
