We are looking for a 1:1 teaching assistant to work assisting children who need extra academic support to start as soon as possible in a school in BB9 area. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to gain more experience and build on their CV.

Requirements

  • SEN experience or any experience working with children is fine
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to get one)
  • Strong work ethic
  • Able to adapt to the different needs of the child
  • Be able to liaise with parents and other staff
  • Good safeguarding knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Support the child with additional needs
  • Providing support to the child both academically and socially
  • Assisting the teacher with the paperwork in keeping track of the progress of the child
  • Liaising with the class teacher and parents to provide the best support
  • Doing 1:1 interventions, mainly maths and English
