We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Tutor to provide tailored tuition for a Reception aged pupil who is non-verbal.

The tutoring sessions will take place every weekday morning for a minimum of 2.5 hours in the pupil's home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective tuition using play-based learning techniques.
• Implement the Total Communication approach to support the pupil's learning and development.
• Utilize Makaton signing to enhance communication.
• Deliver Attention Autism style interventions to stimulate engagement and learning.
• Collaborate with parents to ensure the pupil's needs are met.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working with non-verbal children, particularly in a Reception or early years setting.
• Strong understanding of play-based learning and Total Communication approach.
• Experience using Makaton signing and Attention Autism methods.

• Ability to start ASAP and commit to weekday morning sessions.

The role is to start ASAP, therefore DBS on the update service is necessary.
