Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Primary

Location: Hemel Hempstead
Pay: £80-95 per day
Hours: Monday - Friday, 30 hours per week
Job Type: Full-Time

About Us:

TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team in Hemel Hempstead. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who require individual support.

Role Overview:

As a 1-1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting children who need additional help to thrive in a classroom setting. You will work closely with our learning support team and may be assigned to various key stages, participating in class-based activities, small group work, or providing 1:1 support as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team of teaching assistants to support pupil learning.
  • Collaborate with multiple teachers, key stage leaders, SENCO and principal.
  • Support planning and provide a programme of activities suitable for the age range of children, meeting Ofsted standards, considering individual needs.
  • Engage parents, carers, and appropriate professionals, keeping them informed of children's activities.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of children.
  • Take responsibility for assessing and recording the needs of allocated children.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with or caring for primary aged children.
  • Experience with SEN, whether personally or professionally.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Basic knowledge of first-aid.
  • Ability to use modern technology.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
