1:1 Teaching Assistant needed in Mansfield

Academics are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support primary school clients in Mansfield, working closely with individual pupils with special educational needs.

This role requires empathy and patience but is extremely statisfying and rewarding.

Working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant involves:

  • Working hours between 8.30am to 15.30pm
  • Ongoing training opportunities
  • Supporting children on a 1:1 basis
  • Conducting interventions
  • Adhering to behaviour and safeguarding policies
  • Regulary record and monitor pupil progress
  • Report to the Class Teacher daily
  • The ability to use your own initiative
  • Encourage and implement a positive and encouraging learning environment
  • Understanding individual child's needs and working to avoid potential triggers

If you would like to be considered for this post, you must have:

  • Atleast 6 months experience supporting children in an education setting
  • A Level 2, 3 or 4 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Early Years, Education or an equivalent to
  • Have or be willing to process an Enhanced DBS Certificate
  • References to cover you last 24 months of employment
