An Ofsted 'Outstanding' Primary School in Tilehurst, Reading is eager to appoint a new Teaching assistant for September. Ideally the right 1:1 Teaching Assistant is enthusiastic about Education and familiar with Primary KS1 & KS2 national curriculum.

1:1 Teaching assistants' duties can include:

  • Working with Primary KS1/KS2 Tilehurst students on 1:1 basis, working on phonics, literacy and numeracy. Not limited to additional needs/lessons they may need.
  • Providing intervention support and safeguarding awareness.
  • Work closely with the Primary classroom teacher to implement personalised learning plans and activities.
  • Monitor and record the progress of the children, providing feedback to parents and staff.

Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Tilehurst, Reading

Work hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-15:30

Pay: £83.33 to £90 per day

Personality/skills for the desired 1:1 Teaching Assistant candidate:

  • Some experience of working with KS1/KS2 (aged 5 - 7 years old) children or in a school.
  • A real passion for education and improving the attainment of pupils.
  • Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging pupils.
  • Level 2 or 3 support staff
