1:1 Teaching Assistant / SEN Classroom Support - SN2

Starting in September, this is an incredible opportunity to join a dedicated team to nurture and develop the educational journey of a child with special needs. My client is seeking a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to make a real impact on a pupil's learning and well-being, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. The pupil is in a Year 2 class and is non-verbal ASD so past experience in working with similar needs is required.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the emotional, physical, and learning needs of an individual in a Year 2 class
  • Assist in the development and delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Foster positive relationships to help pupils achieve learning targets
  • Organize the learning environment and ensure adequate learning materials
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate curriculum activities with the teacher
  • Assist with behavior management programs and ensure pupil safety

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described
  • Past experience working with non-verbal ASD
  • Kind, caring, energetic, and enthusiastic
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
