1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

If so, Academics are currently looking for someone to work as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant with a pupil in a Newport Primary School starting in March 2025

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 support specially tailored to a KS1 pupil with ALN
  • Assisting the pupil with classroom activities including basic numeracy and literacy tasks
  • Implementing strategies to support the pupils academic development
  • Building a positive relationship with the pupil
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil's teacher and parents to monitor and track progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a SEN setting (essential)
  • Experience working 1:1 with ALN pupils (desirable)
  • Enhanced DBS (We can assist with the process)
  • Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) - we are here to help with the process.
  • Two professional and recent references.
