Job Title: 2nd Line Support Technician

Location: Basildon, Essex

Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum

About Us:

Join our Basildon-based IT services company, known for innovative technology solutions and customer-focused service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd line technical support via phone, email, and remote assistance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues
  • Assist with IT equipment and system setup/maintenance
  • Escalate complex issues to 3rd line support
  • Document support activities and resolutions
  • Collaborate to improve processes and service delivery
  • Ensure client satisfaction

Technologies:

  • Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016/2019
  • Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange Online, Azure
  • VMware, Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
  • Endpoint security solutions (antivirus, firewalls)
  • Backup and recovery tools (Veeam, Altaro)

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in 2nd line support
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS and servers
  • Experience with Office 365 and Azure
  • Hardware/software troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSA, ITIL) a plus
