2nd Line Support Engineer

Glasgow - Full Time

Up to £30,000

Head Resourcing are pleased to be working with a leading construction and maintenance company based in Glasgow as they look to hire a Technical Support Officer to join them. They are one of Scotland's largest construction companies working across the public, private, and third sectors. Our client has a unique social ethos of building a sustainable future which underpins their drive to deliver excellence across a wide range of high-quality construction and manufacturing operations.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience supporting an enterprise environment at both 1st and 2nd line
  • Ability to customise desktop configurations, group policies, and user profiles to align with organisational requirements and standards
  • Experience configuring, deploying, integrating, and troubleshooting desktop operating systems (e.g. Windows 10/11) and common applications (e.g., O365 - Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Knowledge of desktop imaging solutions to streamline deployment processes
  • Knowledge of tools such as Intune/SCCM or similar
  • Familiarity with desktop virtualisation technologies such as Windows Virtual Desktop / Remote Desktop Services. VMWare Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps or similar.
  • Knowledge of desktop security best practice.
