2nd Line Support Engineer - Contract Vacancy
IR35 Status:
Inside
Rate: £200 - £220 p/d
Working Location: Reigate - Onsite/Hybrid
Contract Length: 4 weeks

My client has a requirement for a 2nd Line support Engineer on a 4-week contract. The client is a managed service provider who helps local businesses to achieve success by keeping systems operational, data secure and teams empowered with the right tools for the job.

They provide support to over 1000 users across Surrey and the Southeast. They require a 2nd Line Helpdesk Engineer to provide extra support to the head engineer during this busy period.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd line support for hardware and software issues across multiple endpoints.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues escalated from 1st line support.
  • Manage and resolve complex technical incidents and service requests efficiently.
  • Ensure all issues are logged, prioritized, and resolved within agreed SLAs.

Technical

  • Manage Microsoft 365 environments (user management, Exchange, SharePoint, InTune, Teams)
  • Azure
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies (e.g.,firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Security/ authentication systems
  • DNS (Domain Name System)
  • PowerShell
  • Endpoint (Management and Support)
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
