Job Title: 7.5t Driver - Carpentry/Building Supplies
 
Company 
A prestigious carpentry firm based in Hampton, renowned for delivering high-quality carpentry and building supplies to clients across London require a temporary driver to cover a short-term contact.
 
Position Overview
Seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5t Driver the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and collecting carpentry and building supplies in and around London, ensuring timely and efficient service to clients.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Safely operate a 7.5t vehicle to deliver and collect carpentry and building supplies to and from various locations in London.
  • Load and unload supplies, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
  • Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and ensure timely arrivals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, always maintaining professional conduct.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries and collections.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Represent the company in a positive manner, upholding our reputation for excellence in service delivery.
 
Requirements
 
  • Valid UK driving license with Category C1 entitlement (7.5t).
  • Previous experience as a 7.5t driver, preferably in a similar role delivering construction or building materials.
  • Knowledge of London and surrounding areas to efficiently navigate delivery routes.
  • Excellent driving record with a commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, as required.
  • Availability to work from Monday 15th July - Friday 26th July 2024
  • Flexibility to work 5-6 hours per day, with weekly pay guaranteed for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
Salary and Benefits
  • Hourly rate of £14.50 per hour.
  • Weekly pay, ensuring you are compensated promptly for your hard work.
