A-Level Photography Lecturer

Rotherwood Education are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced A-Level Photography Lecturer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for photography and teaching, with a strong commitment to fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment for our students.

This is a full-time ongoing position starting in September 2024.

A-Level Photography Lecturer Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality A-Level Photography lessons, ensuring students are engaged and inspired.
• Develop lesson plans that are in line with the curriculum and meet the learning needs of all students.
• Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress. Providing constructive feedback to support student development.
• Offer academic and pastoral support to students, helping them to achieve their full potential. Advise students on portfolio development and career opportunities.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in photography and education through continuous professional development.
• Work closely with colleagues in the Art and Design department and across the school/college to enhance the overall educational experience.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and grades.

A Level Photography Lecturer Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Fine Arts, or a related field. PGCE in Further Education or QTS.
• Experience: Previous teaching experience at the A Level or equivalent is highly desirable. Professional experience in photography is an advantage.
• Skills: Strong technical skills in photography, including digital and traditional methods. Proficiency in using photography software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Attributes: Passionate about photography and education. Ability to inspire and motivate students. Commitment to continuous professional development.
