AAT Accounts Assistant/Accounts Senior, £23,000-£27,000

An established independent chartered accountancy practice located in Harrogate due to growth is recruiting for an AAT qualified accounts person to join their business.

To be considered you must have UK accounting experience from an accountancy practice and be AAT qualified. You should also be IT literate including Xero.

Duties

· Preparing limited company/sole trader annual accounts (to review stage).

· Preparing management accounts

· Book-keeping

· VAT return preparation, reconciliation and submission.

· Corporation tax and self-assessment returns (to review stage).

· Dealing with HMRC on behalf of clients.

· All aspect of client communication including meetings, calls and email.

· All aspects of new client set up and closure.

· Office administration.

· Client billing.

· You will use various software systems including Microsoft Office/Teams, Monday.com, Xero, Quickbooks, Sage cloud based accounting software.

· IRIS company and personal accounts/tax production software.

The offices are an easy walking distance from the bus and train links and Harrogate amenities.

There is on-street parking

Their offices are modern and open plan in a shared office building, offering an onsite café, showers, bike storage.

Hours: 9am-5.30pm (37.5hours/week). There is the opportunity to work up to an additional 4 hours/week and to finish up to 4 hours earlier on a Friday.
