The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support and individuals with SEND.

We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Academic Tutor to provide core subject support to students who are not currently accessing mainstream education.

Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have previous experience teaching Maths, English and Science - this can be across particular key stages.

Position Details:

  • Location: Southport
  • Position: Academic Tutor
  • Type of work: Supply
  • Hours: Flexible working hours available
  • Start date: October 2024
  • Duration: Ongoing
  • Hourly rate: £25.00-£30.00

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
