Join our successful Corporate division in Ipswich as a Corporate Account Handler. This role is ideal for a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and competitive environment. You will be instrumental in providing exceptional customer service, retaining clients, and assisting in new client acquisitions.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Build long-lasting relationships with clients, achieving 'trusted advisor' status.
  • Prepare accurate client documents, obtain renewal terms, and provide alternative quotations before finalizing presentations for Account Executives.
  • Handle mid-term adjustments proactively and responsively.
  • Ensure all client details are recorded accurately and entered onto the system promptly.
  • Manage queries about client policies directly or through their insurer.
  • Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies, and chase up outstanding documentation.
  • Prepare debit notes and summaries of cover, ensuring the secure delivery of policy documentation from insurers and checking the documentation prior to sending to clients.
  • Address account queries and credit control matters promptly, highlighting any concerns to Account Executives/Directors.
  • Adhere to key legal and regulatory policies to safeguard both personal and business interests.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an Account Handler within the commercial insurance market is essential.
  • Knowledge of cross-class risks such as Hospitality & Leisure, Manufacturing, Property, Casualty, Professional Indemnity, D&O, Motor Trade/Fleet is ideal.
  • Experience handling corporate clients or SME commercial business is advantageous.
  • Risk-aware, customer-centric, focused on achieving the best outcomes for customers.
  • Working towards or holding Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications (Cert CII, Dip CII, or ACII) is a plus.
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, with intermediate knowledge of the commercial insurance industry.
  • Diligent, process-driven, results-oriented, and initiative-taking in supporting team members.
