Job Title: Accountant
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Location: Hemel Hempstead and 1 day per month travel to their Altrincham office
Contract: Permanent, full-time - 3 days office / 2 days from home
Hours: Monday to Friday - 9.00 am - 5pm (Summer hours - from first bank holiday in May till the last bank holiday in August 9.00 am - 12.30pm (dependent on month end)

My client a global technology company located in Hemel Hempstead are currently hiring for an experienced Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will have a background in working within   manufacturing and or industrial and will assist in the preparation of accounts. You will report into the finance and hr director and will be happy working in a varied and hands on role.

SKILLS REQUIRED
·Proven experience working within a finance team and have a thorough understanding of P&L accounts
·Advanced Excel including - formulae including if, countif, sumif and vlookup
·Excellent attention to detail
·Sage 200
·Training towards finance qualification is desirable (AAT, CIMA, ACCA)

RESPONSIBILITIES
·Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and associated activities
·Assisting in the preparation of reconciliations including balance sheet and profit and loss
·Helping in the preparation of budget financial information with key stakeholders
·Aiding in the reporting of financial information to the client for consolidation
·Supporting with Audits
·Ensure cashflow is utilised properly
·Approval of weekly payments
·Adhoc assistance on finance improvement projects across the wider business
·Line management responsibilities for accounts assistants
·Occasional travel to other site in Altrincham for team meetings on a monthly basis.
