Senior Accountant 

£40,000 - £60,000 per annum 

Part Time / Full Time hours 

REED are working on behalf of a well established Accountancy Firm based in Poole. Our client is recruiting a Senior Accountant to work within a small team and add value to a growing and expanding business. 

Our client provides transparent and fixed-price accounting services, with a focus on personal service and proactive advice. The  founders bring over a decade of experience in the small business, freelancer, and contractor space, and they aim to fill the void in the accountancy sector by prioritizing client service over profits.

Role Description

  • This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Accountant.
  • The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks and client management, including financial statement preparation, tax returns, and client communication. They will also handle tax planning and compliance, as well as provide guidance to junior accountants.
  • While the role is located in Poole, there is flexibility for some hybrid working.

Qualifications

  • ACA / ACCA Qualified / Part Qualified 
  • Accountancy Practice experience - at least 3 years ideally 
  • Expertise in financial statement preparation
  • Experience in tax planning and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software
