Accounting Services Manager

Greenwell Gleeson is working with a professional services business based in Birmingham to help them recruit an Account Services Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for a team of 6 staff

• Reviewing work performed by other team members

• Appraising your team and feeding back into the director team

• Managing the workflow and portfolio of bookkeeping. VAT and management accounts clients

• Liaison with other departments to support with year-end work/corporation tax/personal tax/audits

• Portfolio of your own clients with some management accounts, VAT returns and attendance at client board meetings to support with advice

• Learning and development on complex VAT areas such as retail scheme, partial exemption, margin scheme, group VAT, duty and export rules

• Liaison with outsourcing team currently in pilot

• Looking at technology and ways of improving the processes
