Accounts Administrator, Part-Time
Our client is an established small family-owned business that has been in operation for over 20 years, offering a comprehensive range of products to their customers.
Maintaining key values such as honesty, integrity, commitment and professionalism, they have built long lasting relationships with their customers and secured regular business.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this is an integral role and will require previous experience gained within a similar role.
Working pattern: Tuesday - Thursday, 9am - 5pm, Rossendale office
Role Responsibilities - Accounts Administrator
- Processing purchase invoices from purchase orders and updating purchase ledger
- Supplier/bank payments, process direct debits/standing orders/reconcile supplier statements
- Allocating Customer receipts, BACS/Cheques/card
- Performing bank reconciliations and credit card statement reconciliations
- Processing information for VAT returns, submission, and payment
- Process report (for accountants) for payroll including overtime and bonus payments & any deductions
- Payment of salaries/expenses/PAYE & NIC
- Journals for purchases/sales/payroll
- Proactive credit control
- Overseas payments
- Collect & process administrative work for post & emails
- Record holiday requests/sickness/absence/lateness, miscellaneous HR duties
What do we need from you?
- Previous experience gained within an Accounts Administrator or Finance Assistant role
- High level of accuracy / attention to detail
- Good time management skills
- Capable of operating independently and take initiative
- Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
