ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR – Ballymena

SALARY: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum

EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, 12-month Fixed Term Contract Opportunity (office-based)

Reed Accountancy is partnered with a fantastic client in Ballymena in the recruitment of an Accounts Administrator to join their team on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term basis - with the potential to be offered a permanent contract!

Working within a brilliant accounts team, this role involves processing a high number of sub-contractor invoices, and ensuring correct procedures/processes in relation to VAT, CIS and RCT are followed:

Key responsibilities include:

  • File / categorise incoming invoices
  • Accurately process a high volume of subcontractor invoices
  • Dealing with invoice / account queries
  • Assisting with preparation of Sub-Contractor payments
  • Assisting with CIS / RCT returns
  • Running and distributing monthly reports

What you’ll need to succeed!

  • 2+ years' experience working in a similar role in the Construction Sector
  • A sound working knowledge of CIS / RCT and current VAT legislation and the ability to put this knowledge into practice
  • Proficient in Excel, including the ability to use pivot tables and advanced formulas
  • Experience working with an accounts package such as SAGE
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
