Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent, 08:30 - 16:30 with an hour for lunch working hours
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Company Overview:
Our client, a well-established a family-owned company based in Corby, is seeking an Experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work for a business who puts their employees at the forefront of everything they do.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process day-to-day accounting transactions, including purchase and sales invoices, and reconciliations of bank statements.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable, including chasing overdue payments and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure that all payroll-related transactions are recorded correctly.
• Support in the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Ensure that all financial records are kept up to date and in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Cahs flow management
• Provide general administrative support to the finance department.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an accounts assistant role or similar
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
