Finance Assistant - Job Description

THE ROLE

Working with a fast growing and ambitious retail business based in Old Trafford, Manchester.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team with a viee of progressing into a Senior Member of the team. Working hours are Monday - Friday with some flexibility on hours worked and 1 day working from home.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to Finance Manager, you will be assisting with a wide range of Finance Tasks & Assisting with Finance Projects for the department:

- Maintenance of Purchase Ledger including Stock Invoice Processing

- Experience with Letters of Credits

- Bill of Lading Management

- Bank Reconciliations

- Supplier Query & Management

- Statement Reconciliations

- General Support to Finance Manger and Wider Team

Experience:

- Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Accounts Assistant Role - Preferably Studying towards AAT

- Strong Knowledge of Accounts Payable Processes

- Strong Communication Skills - Both Written / Verbal

- Wanting a Progressive Career in Finance

- Excellent Organisational Skills / Numerical & Analytical Skills

- Experience of working in an Import Business would be beneficial

- Strong IT Skills including Microsoft Excel

- Ability to prioritise Workload / Meet Deadlines & Multitask

- High Level of Accuracy & Attention to Detail
