Time Appointments are delighted to be working with one of Suffolk’s leading hauliers, a family-owned business, that are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about balancing the books with precision and looking for a role where you can help achieving things such as implementing new finance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the sales ledger and ensure that all invoices raised correctly.
  • Work across the finance ledgers, the bank and payroll to support the wider finance team.
  • Work on Sage and similar software for accounting tasks.
  • Learn to build financial reports and forecasts and in the future to collaborate closely with the operational teams.
  • Accounts receivable (and credit control), follow up on invoices raised and emailed to clients and following existing processes to get these paid.
  • Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of all financial information.

Previous Skills & Experience:

  • AAT qualified or equivalent.
  • Proficient in using accounting software, particularly Sage.
  • Ability to analyse financial data and extract insights.
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel with the passion to keep up to date with the latest developments.
