Accounts Assistant
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant has arisen near the Swindon area
Accounts Assistant will work within a small, busy finance team. The main purpose of this role is to provide an outstanding service to meet the team's and the company's goals. You will work two days from home three office based
You will be responsible for the Accounts function and tasks will include:
* Daily matching of invoices to purchase orders and highlighting issues where necessary
* Daily input of overhead and administration invoices
* Daily allocation of supplier direct debit payments
* Code and input staff expenses
* sales ledger and purchase ledger Code and input credit card statements
* Reconciliation of supplier statements and reconciliations
* Multi currency payments and invoices / Supplier invoice queries
* Payment run and input to HSBC bank template for authorisation weekly payment
* Send out remittances
* Subcontrcator CIS
You will also assist the team in other areas such as Accounts Receivable when required.
Requirements
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
* A minimum of two years' Accounts Payable experience
* Intermediate level knowledge of Excel including Pivot Tables and Vlookups
* Good understanding of foreign currency
* An understanding of IT accounting systems - knowledge of Access Dimensions is desirable
* Professional manner and a demonstrated commitment to providing excellent service
* Good time management and follow-up skills
* Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve queries, including, patience
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Good team player including the demonstrated ability to contribute to and foster a positive team environment
* Experience of working in a busy office environment in a similar role (for an manufacturing or Engineering company would be ideal)
* High degree of numeracy
* Meticulous attention to detail

Starting salary £26,000 per annum Hours are 08.30-4pm monday to friday part working from home part office based
