Accounts Assistant

  • Salary: Up to £13 per hour
  • Temp to Perm

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to support our client's finance department, accountant, and management team by performing essential clerical and accounting duties. This role involves preparing budgets, maintaining reports, and performing basic bookkeeping and accounting duties.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, invoices, proposals, and other financial documents.
  • Analyse and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers.
  • Post journal entries for accrued expenses and revenue.
  • Maintain and record fixed assets.
  • Prepare and file local compliance reporting as necessary.
  • Prepare annual accounting reports
  • Act as a liaison for vendors to reconcile any billing discrepancies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, strong typing skills.
  • Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
  • Professional manner and strong ethical code.
  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
