Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday - Friday (30 mins for lunch), office based

Aspire Jobs are delighted to be working with a well-established, well run local charity with 9 stores across East Dorset and the Purbeck. Our client is looking to recruit a Finance Co ordinator to join their small accounts team based at H/O in Poole.
The Finance Co ordinator/Accounts Assistant role will ideally suit someone who have previous accounts/finance experience, however they will also consider applications from those with a strong admin background who are good with numbers and have an interest in accounts. This role requires a highly motivated individual who enjoys working as part of the wider team, with good communication and organisation skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in finance, as this role offers great scope to learn and develop an extensive array of skills.

- Be good with MS Office inc Excel
- Have superb attention to detail
- Have good organisational skills
Reporting directly to the Assistant Accountant, this role will assist the Finance team in ensuring processes, controls, financial vision, and daily financial administration are in place for the long-term financial viability of the charity. The successful candidate will collaborate with both the charity and its subsidiary companies, aiding all their financial activities.
Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be outstanding, with an ability to prioritise a varied workload and to work effectively under pressure, meeting strict deadlines. You will be IT proficient, especially in Excel, with excellent attention to detail. You will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.
Day to day, your duties will include taking ownership of the account’s inbox, administering the purchase and sales ledger, entering daily banking transactions, and overseeing the distribution and recording of petty cash, in addition to supporting other existing financial processes and procedures.
You will have experience of working with a range of systems with a solid understanding of Excel, word and outlook.
The successful candidate will be a positive contributor, solutions oriented with a good eye for detail, motivated to work for a growing charity with strong values and a talented team.
