Accounts Assistant | Multisite Leisure business | Fully office based in North London | £30-35,000

This dynamic multisite Leisure business is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join its busy finance department in Finchley, North London. Reporting to the Finance Manager, key tasks include:

  • Bank reconciliation
  • Posting month end journals including accruals and prepayments
  • Looking after a section of the P&L, ensure consistent numbers are reported in the proper manner.
  • Prepare balance sheet schedules and analyse key P&L
  • Reconciliations of relevant Balance sheet accounts, Bank reconciliations, Capex analysis. .
  • Inter-company reconciliation with matrix showing all group companies and related party
  • Spend analysis for department heads
  • Assist with month-end packs for each site and division.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A good understanding of all round accounts and month end tasks within a busy finance department
  • Good understanding of accounting and VAT processes, procedures and regulations
  • Advanced Excel with ability to work within big and complex data from multiple platforms
  • Familiar with ERP systems
  • Ability to work independently and with initiative
  • Ability to identify problems and suggest solutions
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Well organised with strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Excellent multitasker with ability to work well under pressure
