Reed Accountancy are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our well-established client’s finance team, on a temporary to permanent basis. This role will cover a wide range of duties including invoice processing, financial record keeping and assisting with monthly financial tasks.

As Accounts Assistant, your key duties will include:

  • Match supplier invoices with delivery notes, enter invoice details and authorise.
  • Prepare payment requirements reports, obtain approval to pay, and process payments to suppliers.
  • Reconcile company credit card transactions, ensuring all purchases are accurate and authorised.
  • Handle supplier calls regarding payment dates in line with the company’s cash flow forecast.
  • Assist with monthly financial tasks, including bank reconciliations, Bacs payments, prepayments, accruals, VAT & CIS, and cash flow reporting.
  • Supporting with transition to new accounts package and software updates.
  • Cover sales ledger and payroll duties as needed.
  • Maintain purchase ledger archives and provide weekly and monthly reports to Finance Manager.
