As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the finance function to ensure timely and accurate output for an array of responsibilities and contributing to the wider goals of the division.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring correct branch and nominal coding
- Post Direct Debits and allocating to invoices
- Set up new suppliers and contact via telephone to confirm bank details.
- Run the weekly bacs run and perform checks
- Resolve supplier queries
- Maintain fixed asset register and post depreciation journal
- Ensure reconciliation review points are acted upon each month
- Prepare expenses journal, ensure VAT reclaimed where appropriate and issue reports to Operations Board
- Update and maintain utility spreadsheet
- Assist with completion of ONS returns
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain flight log, responsible for Morcor purchase ledger
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Good numerical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
- SAP experience would be desirable but not essential
- Self-motivated and is able to work independently
- Team player
