Accounts Assistant
Accounts Assistant - Reading (RG8) - £30,000
Marks Sattin are proud to be supporting an award winning local Cafe and Delicatessen store with a turnover of close to £12million as they search for an Accounts Assistant. As part of a tight-knit finance team you will help to maintain and improve the contribution of the team to the business as a whole.
Day to day you can expect to be getting hands on with....
Purchase ledger
- Invoice and Credit note entry
- Account statement reconciliation
- Liaison with suppliers/staff to ensure prompt signoff
- Maintain up to date records
- Preparation of weekly Payment runs
- Maintain adequate filing structures
Sales recharges and Credit control (B2B)
- Credit Control function
- Create Customer sales invoices as required
- Process sales credit notes as required
To produce and develop reports, including:
- Weekly sales, by product/by customer
- Aged Debtor and Creditor Ledger
- Wholesale progress against budget and previous year
Reconcile Intercompany transactions
Maintain Register of policies and certificates
Cash and Banking
- Reconcile petty cash and credit card accounts
- Enter daily banking
Payroll
- Staff hours and basic weekly payroll
